A tooth extraction procedure can be performed quickly and comfortably at our practice.
While maintaining your natural teeth is our main priority, sometimes a tooth has to be removed to preserve the health of your remaining teeth and gums. This may be due to severe decay, breakage of the tooth or overcrowding within the mouth. Impacted wisdom teeth also require extraction.
Additionally, if you are due to start orthodontic treatment, it may be necessary to remove additional teeth to make room for your other teeth to move into place.
Our dentists routinely perform extractions for patients using a local anesthetic. Following the procedure, the affected site is protected with gauze and our dentist will advise you on how to care for the area over the next few days.
