Advanced CEREC technology means dental crowns and restorations can now be made and fitted in just one visit ā saving you time and minimising any inconvenience.
Traditionally, if you require a crown, it takes at least two to three visits before your dental treatment is completed. The problem must first be diagnosed and at the next visit the damaged section of the tooth will be removed. Impressions are then taken of your teeth so the crown can be built. Then, at the final visit, the crown will be permanently fixed to your tooth.
We have invested in CEREC ā a computer-assisted manufacturing technique ā to reduce this lengthy treatment time yet still ensure you receive a high quality, long-lasting dental restoration.
Also known as ācrowns in a dayā, CEREC allows your dental team to build your dental restoration in 1 appointment, through these quick and easy steps:
- A special camera is used to photograph the affected tooth
- A 3D model of the dental crown or veneer is then designed on the computer
- The model is milled from a ceramic block
- The dentist fixes your permanent restoration in place
Our team can also use CEREC to build inlays and onlays ā which protect and strengthen your teeth. In addition, we can also build veneers with CEREC to totally transform the aesthetic appearance of your teeth. Veneers can also be used to disguise chips and to close wide gaps between teeth.
CEREC restorations are long-lasting and natural in appearance.
